Prescriptions: Insurance or Out of Pocket? 

Did you know that it may be cheaper to pay out of pocket for a prescription rather than use your insurance? Recently the president signed two bills that no longer allow insurers to prevent pharmacists from telling consumers that paying cash would be cheaper than using insurance to pay for prescriptions. So when you go pick up your or your child’s prescription, make sure you ask the pharmacy staff if paying out of pocket for the prescription would be cheaper than using your prescription insurance.  For more information on these bills, please click here.
